WHAT AN AWESOME TASK, but our God is the God of impossible things!  We started out to collect sneakers for every one of our 60 orphans at Place of Hope. It seemed impossible, but during the first service, every card was stripped off the tree at Covenant Church, leaving no choices for the second service.  Sixty happy faces will be in evidence at POH orphanage for Christmas with these boxes of sneakers and extra gifts.

BUT IT DOESN’T END THERE   We have requests from a second deaf school some 30 miles from us in Les Cayes rice delta area, who also need and want gifts.  This Med Center was started and is operated by a couple Andre knew from a child.  Their home was next door to the home of Andre’s parents. They are partners with POH.  I’ve been asked to provide 100 of these, but that seems impossible to me at the moment. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

It’s all about REACHING OUT IN MERCY, SO my goal now is to send 40 or more special shoe boxes with sneakers and a small children’s gift to Place of Hope, to be given to the children living in the villages nearby our campus, for Christmas.    WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY to show the gracious love of God to families in the area of POH.    I plan to send 40 more boxes to the second Paul Project, started and funded by my own family at the present time, as a request by Andre Forges.

WHAT BETTER WAY TO ACT in the face of the incredible damage that was the result of the hurricane, than to bless the little children with these incredible gifts.  It echoes the words of Jesus, “In as much as you did it unto the least of these, my brethren, you did it unto me.”  I believe many families will co me to Christ as a result!

Just bring boxes to Covenant Church and leave at the POH tree, or send to John Summers, 4781 Mali Ct. Bonita Springs, FL, 34134, or leave at the church office with Brett Stokes.  THANK YOU FOR MAKING CHRISTMAS REAL FOR SO MANY HAITIAN CHILDREN!   I CAN’T THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO GIVE AND MAKE CHRISTMAS MORE REAL.
