The education system in Haiti is deeply flawed. The primary cause is poverty. Only half of the school-aged population are privileged to attend expensive government schools. Missions and churches run many affordable schools, but they cannot reach all rural areas of Haiti.
The Solution:
At Place of Hope in Haiti, we believe in educating all our children. We give them the knowledge and skills necessary to develop them into productive citizens and leaders.

Lack of qualified vocational programs in Haiti has been an integral problem.
Finding employment to matched learned skillsets is also challenging.
More training programs are expanding across Haiti, but the change is slow.
The Solution:
Our Vocational Program focuses on careers that are in high demand. With a trade, our children learn how to earn a living, making them productive citizens in their community and breaking the chain of poverty.

Haiti has one of the most challenging economic environments in the world.
The contributing factors to the challenges in Haiti are poverty, lack of structure in judicial and political systems, and dependency on foreign aid.
The Solution:
Our children are taught morals, ethics and spiritual principles that will serve to guide them in their life. The faith-based teachings our children learn will help solve Haiti’s social and development problems and bring lasting change to Haiti.
