Over the last two years due to COVID and other things, we’ve lost some of our most precious volunteers, and we’re looking for some people who may be feeling led to help Place of Hope. If you have been looking for a way to give back, this may be the opportunity you have been praying about! We need help in several areas, including, but not limited to: board members, event planners and newsletter writers.
Qualifications for all volunteers:
A heart for what God has done for you through Jesus Christ, and a desire to bear fruit in keeping with your own salvation. A love for children, whose lives and the lives of their descendants will be forever changed because of the work you have done. This is truly eternal work.
A willingness to work for the extension of the Kingdom of God here on earth. (The beginning of the Lord’s prayer)
A desire for happiness, joy, fun and laughter as you labor and see the fruits of your efforts. Additionally, meeting others who share your vision and love of kids.
In addition to the above, specific qualifications and skills are appropriate for the following positions:
Board members: A proven track record of leadership in business, the ministry, charitable or other organizations. (We recognize that running a household can qualify!) An ability to see the big picture, and communicate that to others. Strengths in at least one of these areas: Ability to donate, Ability to work, Ability to connect the Board to people of influence.
Event planners: A love of planning, organizing and executing various fundraising events. This is a special opportunity to come up with new and imaginative ways to reach out to donors. We can provide the resources; you provide the ideas and enthusiasm.
Newsletter writers: Do you have the skills and desire to communicate how the Kingdom of God is being expanded in an orphanage in Haiti? Our founder Andre, and other members of Place of Hope can give you the content. We need you to put it all together in a way that touches people and motivates them to participate in the life saving work of Place of Hope.
